It is kind of cool to see people's first reactions
to these gloves. It's like the first time someone in our group showed
up in the eddy(about 12 years ago) wearing elbow pads. We all kind of
smirked, ribbed the person a little and then soon we all were wearing
them. Then came face protectors. With gear like this, the only thing
you're going to miss is the pain. |

Warmth: With Synthetic-leather palm and fingers it is hard to keep the heat in. Most steep creeks here in the Northwest are colder than you can stand, so keeping your hands warm is always a challenge no matter what you have on your hands. But these gloves could be a little warmer. Protection: What can I say. Just look at them. Every bone on your outer hand is protected by carbon-fiber all the way down to your wrist bone. That combined with Synthetic-leather palm and fingers. This stuff is not going to rip or puncture easily. |

| Grip: The PBNW testing crew had a hard time with the grip. On the palms of the gloves there are rubberized panels for paddle control, but they don't go down the fingers. When the gloves get really cold the rubberized panels seem to lose some grip. Luckily all that is fixed with a 50 cent bar of wax that every paddler should never be without. Durability: Two words" NRS Tough" These things are never coming apart. |

Fit: With the NRS sizing chart it is almost impossible to not have a pair that fits you perfect. The velcro wrist wrap makes everything that much more snug. Dexterity: At first you look at the gloves and think that there is no way these things can fit right. Then you put them on, you see that they fit perfect and your hands move around freely. With the palms and the fingers made of Synthetic-leather it makes it really easy to feel the paddle. |
