Lock And Roll

A new product in the Kayaking industry is always exciting, but this product is going to change the way we feel when we leave our boats sitting on top of our cars. When you go into a restaurant or stop for coffee or just want to leave your boat on your car at work because you're going to the wave after work. You always have it in the back of your mind someone might walk off with it. "SAFETY" has become a big issue in the kayaking community. Sure you have cables and locks and a whole lot of other little gadgets, but check this out.
I met Jeremy Himle at the Oregon Cup this past year and we paddled at Bob's. He said he had been working on a new product for a rack system and was trying to get it on the market. Over the past six or so months working on research and development, this is what he has come up with.

No straps, no big huge locks and it hooks right to the rack you already have.

The two forks grab the boat pulling it tight to the rack. One of the forks slides up and down the square bar, The other one is fixed in place. When you get the fork in place and have it as tight as you want it, you turn the little lock and lock it with the key and you're done. Very fast and simple.
This thing is built very well and looks like it will last for a long time. All the welds are very flush and all the parts are powder coated. This device had a lot of thought put into it and it shows. It seems to work perfect every time.
Being the Kayaker I am, I threw this thing on my truck, put an old boat on it and gave it the 80 mile an hour test. Then came the big bumps test and the stopping too fast test and this rack worked great.

All And All: This new rack accessory is a great new product. It is going to allow allot more freedom to people traveling and just driving around town with your boat on your car.
